Weds., Feb. 8: Derby Dinner Playhouse, lunch matinee production of: “Boeing, Boeing” an hilarious play. Thurs., Feb. 9: Hand & Foot Cards at 19th Hole - lunch at 11:30 a.m. with cards at 12:30 p.m. Hostess is: Barbara Jones Sun., Feb. 12: Fishing & Boating Club of Doe Valley, Inc. meets at the S & T Club for our 1st meeting - a planning meeting - at 2:00 p.m. Weds., Feb. 15: Doe Valley Homemakers’ Club meets at the S & T Club at 10 a.m. for our meeting with lunch at about noon. Hostess: Brenda Dattilo; Devotional: Anna Mae Fuller Lesson: Fish Cookery by Jodie Milliman and Ruth Shortt. Thurs., Feb. 16: Ladies’ 3rd Thursday Canasta -at 19th Hole with lunch at 11:30 a.m. and cards at 12:30 p.m. Hostess: Deanie Horsley Thurs., Feb. 23: Ladies’ Bunco at 19th Hole - lunch at 11:30 a.m. with Bunco at 12:30 p.m. Hostess: Karen Hofmann. Coming Events: Thurs., Mar. 15: M. C. Homemakers’ Manners Luncheon at noon at the Extension Office. This is a joint luncheon with M. C. Area Chamber of Commerce. Sat., Mar. 24: Home and Garden Expo at the Farm Bureau Community Bldg. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weds., Mar. 28: Derby Dinner Playhouse, lunch matinee production of: “Smokey Joes’ Café”. Cost is still $28 pp. We carpool. For reservations call Karen at 422-4437 no later than March 7th. SUNSHINE ADVENTURES TRIP TO SAVANNAH, JEKYLL ISLAND, ST. SIMONS ISLAND MARCH 26 THRU MARCH 31, 2012 Day One: Head for Macon, Ga. We’ll spend our 1ST. night at LaQuinta Inn. We’ll have time for socializing and playing cards tonight! Day Two: Now, it’s on to Savannah. Lunch on own along Riverstreet. Lots of shops and restaurants. Guided tour of the Historic District. Check in: Inn at Ellis Square, location! Location! location!! Dinner on own at the City Market. Day Three: Check out of hotel, guided tour of Savannah Low Country; buffet lunch at Paula Dean’s is included. Depart for St. Simons Island guided tour, dinner on own in the Village. After dinner, head to Jekyll Island for check in at Hampton Inn. Day Four: Island History Museum, tram tour of Jekyll Island Historic District. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a Dolphin Cruise w dinner Included, at Fin’s Restaurant. Day Five: Check out and head to Chattanooga Choo Choo. We love staying here and they have a great breakfast, included. Day Six: Check out after breakfast and head for home. THIS TRIP PLANNED FOR ST.
