The Doe Valley Fishing & Boating Club
Is a not-for-profit hobby /social club
for property owners in the
Doe Valley Association. The members organize & participate in fishing
tournaments, promote fishing conservation, promote safe boating, work
with the DVA board of directors in suggesting and often funding minor
water
recreation related building projects, and monitor the lake water
cleanliness. They hold an annual yard sale to raise funds for projects
as well as to sponsor a local child or family at holiday time. They also
have a 50/50 raffle at the regular monthly meetings to add to their
treasury. MORE

The Doe Valley Dears
was once very active and had great leadership. It was definitely a
social club that sometimes did civic events, but that is no longer
true. At this time, the club has no officers. Karen Hofmann is
still the group leader for Doe Valley Dears day trips and overnight bus
tours, that we share with other groups in order to fill a bus. We do
attend all Derby Dinner Playhouse lunch matinee product-ions each year
at $25.00 per person. To attend Derby Dinner or any of our trips,
you do not need to own property in Doe Valley, nor live in Doe Valley.
We have a number of people from Louisville,
Brandenburg and the surrounding community that join us. We carpool to Derby Dinner and riders pay a $3.00 car pool fee to the driver. Any questions, call Karen Hofmann 422-4437
