membership. Our meetings are followed by lunch at the S & T Club. We have a four member calling committee that calls each member to advise them of upcoming related events and of our meeting. A member gives the devotion; another leads us in reciting The Homemakers' Creed; two members each month serve as hostesses; and two members give the monthly lesson which is taught to them at the M. C. Extension Office, or a site to be decided on by the Extension Agent. Our Extension Agent for Meade County is Jennifer Benham. She can be reached at 422-4958 five days a week. She can give you inform-ation about other county Homemakers' Clubs meeting times, just in case one of their times suits you better. We support a number of worthy causes that we put in our budget, with member approval. We socialize, we learn about community concerns, we learn leadership skills to help us become better community partners, and we have fun! Please contact a member of the Doe Valley Homemakers' Board to be sure a meeting is sche-duled and then, come check us out. We hope you find us friendly and responsive and that you will want to become a member. |
