A Message from

FISHING AND BOATING CLUB

OF DOE VALLEY

As you know the Fishing and Boating Club has permission to stock Red Ear Shellcracker (Bluegill) into Doe Valley Lake. This is a sizable project that is taking a large amount of our funds. The going rate for 4” Red Ear is .48 cents each. I have secured a quote from a supplier at .32 cents each.  Our goal is to raise $8,000 which would buy 25,000 Red Ear. They will be stocked mid December thru mid January. I am trying to get the funds together by November 14, 2010, so we will know how many we can buy.

I thought the POA would be interested in helping with this project, seeing how it benefits all Doe Valley residents not just the fishing and boating club members, to have such a great species of panfish in our lake.

This project got a thumbs up from the Fish and Wildlife Dept. Biologist for our district who is very familiar with Doe Valley Lake
